Zusammenfassung

Unter Demenz versteht man einen erworbenen Abbau kognitiver Fähigkeiten von einem höheren Ausgangsniveau, der zu einem Verlust von Alltagsfertigkeiten und in der Mehrheit der Fälle zu Verhaltensstörungen führt.
